Each student will receive blank judging cards. Melissa will go over how to mark the card with symbols, keep track of all the horses in a class, remember who is who and be organized while doing it! The real way to get a feel for a judge’s day!

Participants will have the opportunity to judge mock classes using what they learned. The riders in the clinic will be split into two group. The riders in group one will ride in the first mock classes. The second group of riders, the auditors, and the parents will practice judging these mock classes. Melissa will also judge out loud so everyone can get a  feel for what the judge is thinking during the class. When group one is done, group two will mount their horses and ride in mock classes, this way every rider, auditor, and parent will experience judging.

A time for discussion, questions, and answers. Melissa will leave the participants with a few personal tips from her time spent in the judges booth.

OTHER CLINICS OFFERED BY MELISSA

Training from the Judge's Booth
This is a clinic designed to give riders instruction straight from a judge.

In this clinic riders will perform in various classes seen at Hunter shows. Melissa will spend time with each rider after the class explaining what 'the judge' saw, and how the class was pinned.
This is a rare opportunity for riders to hear and learn straight from a judge what their riding looks like in the show ring.
This clinic is great to use after participating in 'From the Judge's Booth'.

Riding Through Connection

My intention for this clinic is to teach you how to feel and ride your horse through a feeling system. So often we are taught and live in a thinking system where we analize, over calculate, and worry. It is not very often we step out of our way to feel our horse and ourselves. My goal is to help show you how. I believe that only through a feeling connection can an effortless and rewarding experience be achieved. I have the ability to help close the gap of communication between horse and rider, thus creating a unique partnership.

Bodywork Education For Every Horse Owner
