Melissa is unique from other trainers. She is an experienced show exhibitor, a judge for the United States Equestrian Federation and the Sacramento Area Hunter Jumper Association, an equine sports massage therapist of ten years and an intuitive trainer. In 2007 she graduated from UC Davis with a BS in Animal Science specializing in Equine Science.  Melissa combines her eclectic background and intuitive sense to focus on the relationship between the horse and rider.

She understands that the goal is not a blue ribbon finish, but rather that which can be created through love, respect, unity and understanding. Melissa recognizes the potential that horses have to heal and inspire us, thus she approaches her work with lightness and joy.

Melissa believes that only through a feeling connection can an effortless and rewarding experience be achieved. She has the ability to help close the gap of communication between horse and rider, thus creating a unique partnership.

Melissa combines the knowledge of animal physiology and science, judging, intuitive training, and a deep love for horses and their humans, offering a unique opportunity for all equestrians who believe that horses are our gifts, not our commodities.
